All of you will surely recognize the man on the left. His biblical image comes at you in all of its hair and puffy-shirtness like a thunder clap. Yanni stands as the hairiest, women-loving man I know [of]…though Hugh Jackman must be at the top of this game too! And on his right is the… Continue reading Lost and Found: 1 Grecian ‘Stache

Zune 30 Pandemic
Oh, good grief! I awoke this morning to find my Zune in a less than pleasing way. I was concerned that the number of times I’ve dropped the device had finally caught up with me and I was paying the ultimate price. However, I decided to check out what was being said online about this… Continue reading Zune 30 Pandemic
Beating the Goat at Midnight
I call it Thunderhead, though I have yet to unleash upon it to confirm its namesake. It was midnight this Sunday morning when I finally got to beat the old goat skin into the night air. I played some variations on Saidi and Masmoudi to get a feel for the resonance and response on this new drum.
Threadless (Critique): Everybody Loves Eye Scream
This design has been sitting around on a couple of drawing pads for a while now. I finally got it finished up to a point that it’s ready for some critique. I think I may still be an image off from original goal of one submission per month. However, I still have several ideas to… Continue reading Threadless (Critique): Everybody Loves Eye Scream
Sorscha Valkyrie
The latest member of our family made her gooey entrance around noon today. She cleans up well, however. Balthazar is so happy to be a big brother, and Sorscha’s mother and I are, of course, completely in love with the new girl. She’s such a beautiful, healthy girl; I couldn’t ask for anything more. Mommy… Continue reading Sorscha Valkyrie
Threadless: “Seaside”
‘Sup, land lubbers? This is a shout-out to my homeys from way-back. Notorious black beards, REPRESENT! Anyway, I finished another Threadless submission – this one entitled “Seaside.” It went through several critiques and evolved to what you see here now. The original was classy. The finished version is less anatomical design, and more “killer t-shirt… Continue reading Threadless: “Seaside”
Where’s “My” Community?
I am imagining a better WordPress. For those of you who don’t know, it’s the engine behind Gradin.com, as well as countless other blogs on the Interweb. I have been using WordPress for several years now and I really enjoy it. Its many features have grown, and grown on me. Now that I am expectant… Continue reading Where’s “My” Community?
Threadless Submission (Critique)
I am planning to start posting more submissions to Threadless for consideration in their shirt designs. Their methods have matured so much since my earlier submission and purchases! They now have the ability to allow artists to submit designs for critque prior to final publishing. It’s a great way for someone like myself to get… Continue reading Threadless Submission (Critique)
Zune 2.x
You may recall that I had written up the Zune Wish List a couple of months after I received mine in December of 2006. I took the time to assess my needs and what the Zune hardware and software could do to meet those needs. It has now been nearly a year since that list… Continue reading Zune 2.x
Fido: The Movie
I spent the evening with Jeff and Amanda and friends watching a zombie flick. We saw “Fido,” a selection brought to us by Ted. The movie isn’t your classic zombie flick, but it’s a classic of another sort. Carrie-Anne Moss played the mild-mannered house wife, typical of our 1950’s. The whole movie was a bit… Continue reading Fido: The Movie
