Status Upgrade: “Celebrity”

An associate from work recently pointed out to me that the likelihood of the names, “Fox, Olaf, and Balthazar” from Gainesville being someone other than my family is a losing bet. A bit like solving the geometric theorem that three points make the line, I presume. It turns out that a picture of my wife… Continue reading Status Upgrade: “Celebrity”

CayceTerrell.com

I just finished up a site I was working on for a friend. It was actually finished a while ago, but I’ve only just uploaded it to the server for public view. I think it is one of the better looking site designs I’ve had the honor to put together. I was given total artistic… Continue reading CayceTerrell.com

Dragon*Con 2007 :: Wrap-Up

Upon arrival at DragonCon Friday evening, I was met by a frantic Jeff at the Hyatt hotel. It would seem that the hotel doesn’t actually guarantee two beds in reserved rooms. A curious approach, as we had booked the room for quad occupancy. To make matters worse, the room presented to Jeff had a window… Continue reading Dragon*Con 2007 :: Wrap-Up

Costume Parade on Peachtree St.

Wake-up, coffee, parade, lunch. The morning just flew by, but being a drummer in the parade was a blast! We all took a part in it; Fox dancing, Jeff as PeeWee Herman, and Amanda as Ms. Yvonne. I was able to work with the crowd more this year and give out some nods and smiles… Continue reading Costume Parade on Peachtree St.

Schlotzsky’s Has Internet, Disney Doesn’t Like Safari

It’s so much fun to be able to sit at the free computers in Schlotzsky’s Deli, surf the Internet, eat some food – all with the boy. He’s good with engaging himself with games on the Internet while I sit with him and peruse things. I’m an awful parent for this I’m sure, but it… Continue reading Schlotzsky’s Has Internet, Disney Doesn’t Like Safari

How I Work

The longest amount of time spent, and time I am unable to account for, is research. Depending on the topic, I may spend a week pouring through as many references I can find on a particular subject to get a real good feel for the information. If I don’t require reference material as I write, it goes much quicker.

David Copperfield at the Fabulous Fox Theater!

Amy and I went with a Jeff and Amanda to see David Copperfield at the Fox Theater in Atlanta on Sunday. Jeff has seen him countless times and Amy and I have seen him once before. Amanda had never seen him. We were all blown completely away! His tricks are always over the top. Jeff… Continue reading David Copperfield at the Fabulous Fox Theater!

Trading Spouses: The Eclectic Edition

Is anyone watching this show?!? Tonight’s episode of Trading Spouses on the FOX Network must have been the best comedy drama on TV in a long time! I didn’t even see the whole thing, I just came in for the finale. The gist was that they put a fanatical Cathoholic woman into the home of… Continue reading Trading Spouses: The Eclectic Edition

“Best Photographer”

Amy (aka “Fox”) Gradin was voted “Best Photographer” this year at Dragon*Con. This is a most excellent reward for her hard work. We’re seeing more photography at the show now – more than in years past. She had some fear that her stuff was loosing its niche, but I think this award should give her… Continue reading “Best Photographer”

CSS3 Revealed

WebStandards.org | W3C CSS3 (Cascading Style Sheets v3) have shown up in the W3C’s repository of working drafts. It needs comments yet, but I like what I see so far. Rounded corners, for one, is a sure win for developers everywhere. Sure, anyone can draw rounded corner boxes on the web, but dynamically generated ones… Continue reading CSS3 Revealed
