The Bungie team is making headway on their project to create Halo, the movie. To make an awesome start, they got Peter Jackson to direct produce the film. They also have WETA doing their digital work and weapons/armor. I’m thrilled that they’ve made such great moves towards the success of this film. Because I know… Continue reading In Gaming News
Pensacola Beach, Florida
It’s been over two years now and Pensacola Beach is still under recovery from it’s battle with the hurricane season. It seems an impossible task for the victims of Katrina to repair so readily from their disaster. Now that the Gulf on this side has undergone a great amount of repairs, the final tasks are… Continue reading Pensacola Beach, Florida
Drum-Filled Weekends
As I’ve said before, October is a busy month for the Gradin household. This year, drumming events take a great deal of our time in the fall. On Friday, Alchemy Drumming and Dance put together a drum circle for the Georgia Theater Conference at Brenau and on the square. We were asked to come in… Continue reading Drum-Filled Weekends
Distractions
I’ve been distracted lately by the more serious things in life, including work. It has drawn some pretty large gaps in my blog as of late, but I promise I’ll get back to things soon. Perhaps I may even talk about what has been so important as to have ignored this wonderful outlet.
To Err is Human
Something I’ve never seen out of SQL Server 2000 before. Purely an oversight on Microsoft’s part, I’m sure. Incidentally, the answer to this message is most likely “No.” All ur base r belong to us!!!1!
Ring in the Fall Season
Quite a bit of drumming this month so far. This past weekend I did two engagements; one for Art on the Square on the Gainesville, GA downtown square, and another at Gainesville’s Harvest of Hope celebration for 2005. Art on the Square is an art show held annually at this time of year for the… Continue reading Ring in the Fall Season
Aural Carnage
I read somewhere that men with earrings make better husbands; they’re experienced in buying jewelry and they can put up with some pain. I don’t know about all that, but I did get 2 more piercings last night in some unnamed portion of my ear. It has been a long time since my lobe piercings,… Continue reading Aural Carnage
More Drumming Than You Can Imagine
Over the last two days, I’ve drummed for 12 hours. I did an 8-hour session for charity when my wife put together a fund-raiser Saturday. I don’t know how much money we raised, but I think she did pretty well for the amount of time she had to do it in. Needless to say, that… Continue reading More Drumming Than You Can Imagine
JB Lotteries, MCC Construction Corporation, & The Manchester Register
What could JB Lotteries, MCC Construction Corporation, and the Manchester Register all have in common? A scam, it would seem. I received a letter in the mail yesterday shipped 2-day FedEx Express from one Aimee Bird with JB Lotteries in NewYork. The envelope is accurate, the material inside is convincing. It also comes with a… Continue reading JB Lotteries, MCC Construction Corporation, & The Manchester Register
The Fall of Summer
Summer has officially ended and Fall begins today (roughly). I’ve noticed some change in the leaves, but I couldn’t be certain it wasn’t just the dry climate as of late. As it turns out, it was just timely preparation for the end of the growing season. Enter my favorite season and some cooler weather.
