I’m infatuated with big squid. In London, they have a 28 footer on display, which I would love to go and see. The fascinating thing about them is their potential for mythic sizes, rarity, and keen hunter abilities. A squid of thirty feet could grab you with its tentacles before you ever saw it at… Continue reading I ❤ Squid

Falun Gong Cultivation
I recently saw the BODIES exhibit, where it is rumored that the cadavers on display are actually those of the Falun Gong. Could be. But I don’t compare this to ivory blackmarket trade. The prisoners are being executed regardless of whether or not people are buying organs and bodies.
BODIES: The Exhibition (Wrap-Up)
Not being a medical student, I can’t begin to fully appreciate what I saw, but I can say that I would never have otherwise been able to examine cadavers as I did here.
Web Sites for Artists at the Quinlan
I’m putting together a class for the Quinlan Visual Arts Center in Gainesville towards the end of this month. I’ll be focusing on web site development by more traditional means. I think a critical step often forgotten by developers is wire framing and white boarding. Web sites are visual, so you should attack them visually… Continue reading Web Sites for Artists at the Quinlan

First Day in Dublin
I got into Dublin, OH this morning at 3:00am. Nice flight. The nasty weather caused some disturbances for our pilot. Two of my traveling companions did not take the turbulence well and came off the plane feeling less than stable. Our landing took us through some pretty thick snow, which was awesome to see at… Continue reading First Day in Dublin

Amy and I went with a Jeff and Amanda to see David Copperfield at the Fox Theater in Atlanta on Sunday. Jeff has seen him countless times and Amy and I have seen him once before. Amanda had never seen him. We were all blown completely away! His tricks are always over the top. Jeff… Continue reading David Copperfield at the Fabulous Fox Theater!
Free Chapel Presents The Story of Christmas
My wife, a good friend of ours, and I were hired to perform for Free Chapel’s production of The Christmas Story in Gainesville this past weekend. The show was probably astounding, though I’ve haven’t seen it yet. It works out that way for those of us that are actually in the play. Getting it together… Continue reading Free Chapel Presents The Story of Christmas
Pensacola Beach, Florida
It’s been over two years now and Pensacola Beach is still under recovery from it’s battle with the hurricane season. It seems an impossible task for the victims of Katrina to repair so readily from their disaster. Now that the Gulf on this side has undergone a great amount of repairs, the final tasks are… Continue reading Pensacola Beach, Florida
Amigos for Christ
I spent a good part of the afternoon at the Amigos for Christ event held annually in Duluth. Outback Steakhouse donated food for the event, as they apparently do every year. There was also some food being served up by a Nicaraguan family, though I had neither. It was pretty hot to be eating hot… Continue reading Amigos for Christ
