I doubt many of you have heard of Omar Faruk Tekbilek, but you should probably give him a shot. The group is Turkish, or at least the music is. There are some really cool rythyms in it, especially if you like drumming. So this morning I crank up Omar while we get ready to go for some lunch at Amy’s parent’s house. Of course, I’m prepping myself for the drum circle tonight, which is a little ridiculous. I must maintain focus on the convention, and enjoy that. Afterall, we don’t drum until nearly midnight. We’re anticipating taking MARTA, so I get to see if I can restrain myself from drumming on the train. I’ve never been thrown from public transit before.
