I heard on NPR this morning that 25 million Americans receive emergency food assistance each year. From what I understand, the level of funding available to this is not nearly what it needs to be in order to feed everyone that is starving within the U.S. It’s ironic to me that America has such a problem with obesity, and yet there are still in excess of 25 million people starving each year. There’s some sort of lesson to be learned in this, I think.
A wise man already came up with a solution! They should move to where the food is.
