Dynamic Header @ 1976design.com

I’m deeply inspired by the efforts of Dunstan Orchard and friends in the development of a dynamic banner on his webpage. A friend of mine, Sean, pointed this site out to me. You just simply have to read the description, but here’s an excerpt:

  1. The sheep alternate their positions every other day, and also respond to their environment, sheltering when necessary, and huddling together at night to sleep.
  2. The textures on the tiled roof, and on the dutch barn are taken from the photographs and superimposed onto the cartoons.
  3. The fog and darkness are built up using ten semi-transparent layers, depth-positioned for realism.
  4. The stars are positioned in various signs of the Zodiac, I can’t recall which ones, but Leo (mine) is in there somewhere.

  1. Heck yeah… that thing rocks! I’d love to do something similar, but I don’t have a good view outside my house to use.
