A friend of mine sent me a link to an article about the Festivus craze that’s starting throughout the United States. The whole business with a politically correct holiday season got some people fed up. So much so that they abandoned the whole Christmas plan altogether and chose Festivus instead to celebrate. There are some perfectly valid points to this alternative – like airing family grievances for one. Just in time for resolutions at New Year’s, everyone can know what you hate about them at the closing of the old year.
Celebrating the holidays with a diverse group of friends can get tricky. That’s where Festivus, the “holiday for the rest of us,” comes in.
