My wife and I watched Serenity Saturday evening. We both really enjoyed the movie. We’ve both seen the first and only season in its entirety, and were saddened to see it cancelled. Despite this, the fans rallied and helped to get a movie made from the TV show. The original cast starred in the film so there was no separation from the show. This was also the first Sci-Fi film since Event Horizon that actually scared me. It’s the innuendo and glimpses of things that frighten me more than outright gore. If you didn’t see the series, you may not appreciate the show as much, but I think it is still quite enjoyable.
I loved the Firefly series and the movie was just as good.
