My wife and I saw “Garden State” recently. It was only playing at Phipp’s Plaza for this area, but it was well worth the trip. We both enjoyed the film so much. Zach Braff (Scrub’s) wrote and directed “Garden State,” in which he co-starred with Natalie Portman (Star Wars: Episode I,II). The most interesting aspect of the movie was that it seemed very natural throughout. I really like it when facts are brought out in a mundane sense so that you have to pay attention to get all the details. It doesn’t seem scripted when done this way and the dramatics of a scene aren’t diminished by an awkward catch-up on information you haven’t heard yet (see Matrix: Reloaded for an example of what not to do).
