Zune 3.0 Coming

Mmmm…Zune 3.0. I’ve just read Jason Dunn’s (of ThoughtMedia.com) report on a recent Microsoft meeting discussing the Zune 3.0 release. I am completely sold on the Zune platform and am greatly encouraged by the up-and-coming release. Perhaps the greatest boon of them all is that the Zune team will be…Continue Reading

Gainesville Revokes Local Business License

Silver Stars has been shut down indefinitely for failure to obtain a proper business permit. Funny thing is, they were given a permit to do business originally. After these several months, the City Council’s office has finally over-ruled the original permit granted.

Afghanistan Remembers Music

I listened to a piece from WNYC’s Radio Lab recently only to form a more concrete relationship with the loss that victims suffer under Taliban rule. From the outside, looking in, the culture seems muddied with the intermingling of past and present times.  Between incomplete reports from the news agencies,…Continue Reading

Chinese Government to Manage Reincarnation

In a humorous – yet evil – plan, the Chinese government is establishing some regulations around the logistics of reincarnation. The Disney World Report

Disney World Vacation Photos There’s a place on this Earth where reality fails, excitement is on tap, and prices are only limited by your imagination. George Davison’s Invention Land

Davison launches “InventionLand,” not entirely dissimilar from Neverland – without Michael Jackson. The idea is simple, though the results sound very positive. Davison created InventionLand to host inventors in a creative environment where their minds can open up to possibilities as they did when we were children. The images and…Continue Reading

Federal Bureau of Inefficiency

A romantic notion in the recesses of my mind really loves the F.B.I., C.I.A., and the like. I like spy novels. I like James Bond. I like super heroes fighting super villans. However, the real world of federal investigative services is far different than the portrayal delivered through metaphor and…Continue Reading

Prison Love

My good friend, A. (for Anonymous), was recently the target of a very strange package indeed. Being a female and having some public recognition, she is apparently an ideal target for some pen-pal romance from beyond the gates of prison. The package came to her work place, where the perp.…Continue Reading
