Breakfast Contemplation

I stopped in at QuikTrip this morning for some breakfast and coffee. I stopped at the display housing all manner of protein and meal replacement bars. Amongst this presentation of health were the Rice Krispy treats we all long for. It turns out they have a king size version too. What’s peculiar about this is that the Cliff Hanger bar I bought had more sugar in it than a standard rice krispy bar, though more protein to be sure. How in the world could a protein bar top the sugar levels pure marshmallow provides?!? Wonders never cease.

  1. “It’s people. Soylent Meal Replacement Bars are made out of people. They’re making our food out of people. Next thing they’ll be breeding us like cattle for food. You’ve gotta tell them. You’ve gotta tell them!”

  2. And this is a bad thing…how? I’m not actually opposed to eating people. I don’t [often] want to eat people I know – much like you don’t name your livestock, so the obvious choice would be to eat those who have donated their bodies to food in death. I should blog about this sometime.
